Everyone is fawning over baby news of
Hollywood’s hottest music stars --from Jessica Simpson tweeting first baby pic
of her new cherub mini-me to Adele’s recent pregnancy news. But what about the
actual baby pics of the stars themselves?
Tiny Justin was the first child of young
mom Patricia Lynn “Pattie” Mallette. Only 18 and a single mom, Pattie moved back
to Stratford, Ontario, to raise her baby boy with the support of her parents. A
cutie from birth, little Justin was even rocking his signature mini mullet in
this adorable picture taken in his homeland of Ontario, Canada about
1995.

Inside the Brains of Bieber Fans
The symptoms include uncontrollable
screaming, swooning and spending hours on Twitter and Facebook. It primarily
affects preteen and teen girls, yet it is highly contagious and can infect
mothers, too. In severe cases, sufferers camp out on sidewalks for days. "The
appeal for me is, of course, that he's beautiful," says 15-year-old Emma Reeves
of Madison, Conn., who has seen Justin Bieber twice in concert. "It's hard to
find people who are successful, nice and care about other people and he has it
all!"
By disease standards, "Bieber Fever" is approaching a global pandemic with the release of the 18-year-old pop star's latest album, "Believe," last week.
Compared with past outbreaks of fan mania, scientists now have a better understanding of why teens—girls in particular—become so passionate about some musicians, and the recording industry is far more adept at exploiting the phenomenon. Parents of star-struck "Bieliebers"—as his fans are sometimes known—can be assured, experts say, that what looks like mass hysteria is a harmless stage in adolescent development. Long before the Beatles, Elvis and Frank Sinatra, frenzied female fans threw their clothing at 19th century pianist and composer Franz Liszt and fought over locks of his hair, say music historians.
Hearing familiar, favorite music stimulates the release of dopamine, the neurotransmitter involved in pleasure and addiction, providing the same rush as eating chocolate or that winning does for a compulsive gambler, says neuroscientist Daniel Levitin, who was able to observe the process using fMRI scans in his lab at McGill University in Montreal.

Justin Bieber Receives NYC Proclamation: 'Justin Bieber J&R Day'
Continuing to take the music industry by
storm, Justin Bieber made an appearance at J&R Music World in New York City
on Tuesday (June 19) where he was given quite the honor.
While out promoting his newest album "Believe," which just hit stores today, the 18-year-old pop sensation received a proclamation from the City of New York proclaiming "Justin Bieber J&R Day." The "Boyfriend" singer looked extremely happy giving the awaiting crowd a smile as he held up the honorable writing while rocking a denim on denim ensemble.
In other career news, the Biebs and rapper Ludacris made a lights out performance last night at the Apollo Theater in the Big Apple. Nearing the end of their packed house show, an unexpected problem left the musical instruments and some of the venue's lighting inoperable. In true Justin fashion, the superstar made sure to finish out the show with the help of some of his singing fans.
If you weren't one of the lucky fans to be able to watch the performance yesterday, you still have a chance to catch some of his most recent shows from the comfort of your own home.

Justin Bieber Previews "Take You," "Fall" & "Maria"
We're less than a week away from the
release of his new album Believe, and Justin Bieber is giving his fans a sneak
preview of a trio of new tracks.
The "Boyfriend" hitmaker leaked "Take You" , "Fall" ,and "Maria" to give his Beliebers a marvelous appetizer of what's to come on June 19th.
"Maria" is Justin's response to Mariah Yeater, the woman who erroneously claimed that Bieber was the father of her unborn child.
Justin sings, "Now she's in the magazines, on TV making a scene / She's crazy, crazy in love / She wanted my attention / She was dying for my affection / I'm talking to you Maria."
To that end, Justin's manager Scooter Braun told press that while Bieber is now 18 and singing about more mature subjects, he still needs plenty of oversight.
"Adult artist? Just because he's legal now doesn't mean he's an adult. He still needs guidance; he's still finding his way. He's no longer a boy, but he's definitely not yet a man."

Selena Gomez Laughs for the Alliance for Children's Rights
Stepping out for a good cause, Selena
Gomez was spotted at the Alliance for Children's Rights 3rd Annual Right to
Laugh shindig last night .
The "Ramona and Beezus" babe looked gorgeous in a pale blue sleeveless dress as she posed outside the Avalon Theatre with Mandy Cornett and Brian Teefe.
In a recent interview, Selena noted that while she's definitely pursuing a more mature image, she's not trying to go overboard.
"Honestly, I do understand that I have a younger fan base, but I also have a fan base that's my age and that I kind of relate to. I am getting a little older, but it's not anything that I'm not proud of."
She's also giddy for the launch of her new perfume venture. "I'm excited — it's actually here! It feels like it's been a minute for it to come out and everything. My fans have been there from the beginning, so they kind of already have an idea of what it is, so I'm excited to just have it out finally."
Could there be a sophomore scent in the works? "Hopefully if this one does well. We're not aiming for it yet, but I would love to."
